Zelka is a locally rooted tourism brand operated by Zelka Group Limited, an integrated Tanzanian company with a growing vision across travel logistics, agriculture, eco-tourism, wildlife leisure and hospitality. Based in Mwanga, Kigoma, we create personalised journeys that introduce travellers to the wildlife, forests, mountains, history and communities of Western Tanzania. Our strongest inspiration comes from the waters of Lake Tanganyika, the chimpanzee forests of Gombe, the dramatic Mahale Mountains, the remote plains of Katavi and the cultural heritage of Kigoma and Ujiji. Through approximately two years of hands-on informal experience in local travel and guest coordination, we have learned that successful tourism requires more than simply choosing a destination. It depends on reliable movement, thoughtful planning, clear communication, welcoming accommodation and genuine human connection. Zelka was created to bring these elements together while helping Western Tanzania receive the recognition it deserves.

Who We Are

We are a growing team of Tanzanian travel planners, local coordinators and tourism partners who believe every journey should feel personal. Our Kigoma roots give us valuable knowledge of Western Tanzania travel, including boats, road connections, accommodation, park access, cultural experiences and the time required to explore remote destinations properly. We design journeys for individuals, couples, families, photographers, researchers and private groups, with communication available in English, French and Swahili. Although Western Tanzania is our strongest speciality, we can also connect travellers with selected safari, trekking and beach experiences across Northern and Southern Tanzania.
